Tough spot live 1/2 cash full ring
I am still not used to posting hand histories correctly so please forgive me guys if i miss anything. Effective stack sizes hero is UTG +1 £420 villian is on cut off with approximately £400. Hero raises to 10 pounds with 9 10(clubs). Middle position calls 10 villian 3 bet min raises to £20.
(I have seen villian make this play a few times before in simular spot and fold to 4 bet. My image is pretty tight as i have been folding a a lot. Anyway hero 4 bet to 80 pounds middle possition folds and villian calls 80. Pot is around £173. Hero has around £340 behind and villian has £320. Flop is 9d 6h 7c. Hero bets £100. My thinking is if he has aq we need prottection against a hand like aq. Also if he does have us beat with a over pair like JJ or 10 10. We have lots of equity with two pair outs, straight draw and back draw flush draw. Anyway villian tanks for ages. Eventually he just flats. At this point i put him on 10 10 or JJ i think he would have folded aq type of hands to my bet sizing. Also sets would raise on such a wet board. Anyway the turn is the jh. So 9d 6h 7c jh. JJ got there and i dont think tens are folding if i bet here. So i check and he quicky checks behind. The river is the 9h completing the flush and giving us trips. Hero tanks and jams £200 into a pot of £373. Here i dont think villian has a boat and flush is highly unlikely. I put him on a marginal hand such as 88 and 10 10 although we have the bkocker. Anyway i jam hopeing to get called by a bluff catcher and villian snaps showing us aq of hearts for the rivered back door nut flush. How could i have played this hand differently? If we check i think he will jam river anyway. What do we do then? Was check on turn fine? Please share your thoughts.
