Semistrong hands played early position against raise ip 6max question
In games I play (relatively small stakes like nl100) I have strong hunch that regulars tend to little bit over 3bet ip (not so much from blinds) when I open UTG. This leads to difficult situations with AQ, AJs stylish hands which are ofc on UTG opening range. I am going to be too much exploited I think if I just lay down every problematic hand against imagined 3bet range from regulars. So I have problems here to build ranges even little bit oversimplified.
Have u found out any tendence like this in your games?
This leads to hard decisions should I 4bet bluff hand like AQo or AQs or even AK! since 4bet can't do for value against their stacking range. The leak I find from them is sometimes 3bet bluff hand like QTs instead of flatting it and then paying 4bet with it. That's not a huge leak but I don't find logic in that. Staying focused and sharp in every UTG is very hard against 3bet and wrong decisions are made easily if start to play AK and JJ too strong against 3bets for value.
Do u have any basic guideline how weak or callish u want to play from UTG in vacuum, do you want to start 4bet bluff a lot if your UTG open is 3bet a lot? Like if u are playing normal stats (22/18, is that little bit tight side?) 6max and your AQ is 3bet ip will u call and try to catch strong bluff catcher or do you consider these AQ, KQs more like hands that you don't want to continue?
I am in problems to find a good balance here since any option isn't too much exciting if u aren't dealt AA or KK. And even KK isn't super nice to get in calling 5bet, at least 130bb+
