Pre flop posistional sizing discussion
I currently use this stategy:
UTG: 3.5x
MP: 3.5x
CO: 3x
BTN: 2.5x
SB: 2x Vs tight opponents, 3x Vs looser villain.
I was wondering the pros and cons involved with using a strategy that involves min raising 2x from all positions, whilst also slightly increasing the range that I raise pre flop for each position.
I am aware that this will force my opponents to play a wider range due to the pot odds they receive, thus making the SB and BB life a little tougher.
However, will I lose value from my early position ranges? due to all pots being smaller, due to the initial raise size being 2x instead of 3.5x.
If someone knows a good article or simply can tell me the pros and cons for this min raising approach i would appreciate.
Hopefully we get a good discussion going!
