Percent of Range that represents value
Hello,
I was wondering what would be considered standard % of my range that would need to be represented for value in order to pull off a successful bluff. I have heard 10 combos (I think Cole South said that) but that seems like a very small number.
Lets assume an HU game and the villain raises the button and I 3B OOP. The villains calls and the flop comes Ks4d2h. So the only hands I can really rep for value are AA, AK, KQs, 44 and 22. KQo, KJs would probably be called and 44 and 22 are for the most part out of my 3B range. Possibly KXs some of the time but not likely. So for the most part I can only rep 3 hands and other are thinner value (88-QQ etc) but probably good but not really matter for the sake of this post.
Lets also assume I have a typical 3B range that consists of 200 hand combos. So of that range AA, AK, and KQs are 24 of the possible 200 combos (not exactly due to the board K but lets go with it) or 12% of my probable range which is very low.
So my question is what % of my perceived value range should I be bluffing with as a minimum? I know there are other factors when bluffing but I was just curious if there was a general rule or standard for this. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
