NL50 Zoom: straight on board facing river overbet

Blinds: $0.25/$0.50 (6 Players) BN: $54.37
SB: $50.56
BB: $54.58
UTG: $58.14 (Hero)
MP: $66.71
CO: $108.99
villain 29/19 over 50 hands
seems like a weaker reg
Preflop ($0.75) Hero is UTG with Q Q
Hero raises to $1.50, 4 folds, BB calls $1.00
Flop ($3.25) 6 5 3
BB checks, Hero bets $2.25, BB calls $2.25
Turn ($7.75) 6 5 3 4
BB checks, Hero checks
River ($7.75) 6 5 3 4 7
BB bets $10.50

What to do here? Why is he overbetting? I think we can have 88 with the same frequencies, he can probably have 87s more often whereas I can have more A8s, 98s. Does that mean I should call even though we'll just split the pot and I'll sometimes lose? Can I even think about reshoving? There still is the danger of him having flatted with unexpected hands like 86s preflop or floated the flop with A8cc.
