Live $5/$10: River Thin Value Bet Puts Us in a Very Weird Spot
$1600 eff. My image is very tight. Game is pretty action, people like to see a lot of flops. I open KhJh in HJ to $40. CO (stationy preflop) calls, Aggro button calls, BB calls.
Flop: AcAs7d Pot 165 Checks around
Turn: 7h Pot 165 Checks around
River: Kc 165 BB checks to me, I bet $100, CO calls, button pops it to $430, folds to me
The button is a bad aggro grinder, I'm pretty sure he has other sources of income. We have a lot of history. It almost entirely consists of him trying to bluff me (often for stacks) and me successfully calling him down. But this is the first sessions we've played in awhile and he hasn't tried anything once for at least 3-4 hours even though I've given him plenty of rope by checking to him OOP in multiple hands.
If the dude can correctly surmise that neither I nor CO can ever have A or 7 here the bluff is genius. But what is he repping? Can he have A or 7? Would he raise a better K - probably not.
Can we hero here? Do you think the vbet opened myself to being owned?
