Hey guys

Right now I am trying to improve my SB vs BU play when 3betting with linear ranges. I am not doing this vs any one but vs an unknown Villain I started to not having a Callingrange in this spot. So I got today in this spot where Villain bets the river 1/2 Ps (No idea why they say "Hero bets ...") and realized that I have no idea what my range looks like or even should look like because I do not know how to play my range on this type of Flop?!

So I started to work with crEV and looked at my Range, at Villains potential Range and what would made the most sense. First I would like to know what you are 3betting in this spot when facing a 3x oR?

I am not defending that much in the SB when I am just 3betting or folding and think that this is not a problem, because I am defending the BB vs BU much wider and defently not give the BU an auto profit oR with any two....

My 3bet Range SB vs BU (3x oR):

88+,A2s+,KTs+,QTs+,JTs,T9s,98s,AJo+,KQo (12,82%)

Then I would like to know how you see Villains Range after calling my 3bet? I gave him this range

JJ-88,AQs-ATs,KTs+,QTs+,J9s+,T9s,98s,AQo-AJo,KJo+,QJo (9,95%)

So how do you play your Range on this Flop? When I want to build solid ranges I start with my obv hands like "99 is always a bet", "KK is a check (when I want to have a checkingrange)" and then I am trying to get to good frequencies witch hands that makes sense.

Right now I have a lot of questions I can´t answer and I am shure my solution is not correct, but it is at least a start :)

So I am betting this Range(69,9%)

AA,QQ,99-88,AKs,A9s,A3s,KQs,QTs+,JTs,T9s,98s,AdQd,AdJd,AdTd,Ah5h,As5s,Ac5c,Ah4h,As4s,Ac4c,Ah2h,As2s,Ac2c,AJo+,KQo

check/calling this Range

KK,JJ-TT,KJs-KTs,AhQh,AsQs,AcQc,AhJh,AsJs,AcJc,AhTh,AsTs,AcTc

and check/folding the rest...

I do not like the terms bluff and valuebets on the Flop that much but I think for explaining I need to put hands in differnt groups to make my point clear:

Betting Range:

I think AA/AK/KQ/99 should be obv in my betting range as well as all my GS QJs/QTs/JTs.

Then I think that A3s/A4s/A2s with a BDFD plays better as a bet, because they can pick up a lot of Equity on the Turn, but I do not want them to check/call.

Check/Calling Range:

If I want to have a checking range on this Flop KK are obv in. Then I guess that KJs/KTs plays good as a check/call, because it is hard for them to get 3 streets of value and we need to strengthen our checking range.

Check/Folding Range:

I think that this Range is pretty easy to build, because we cant check/fold to much and if we do we pick obv. our weakest hands which are on this flop the weak AXs

Question:

How do you play your middPairs/2.Pairs/3.P/AQ-AT

Thx for any advice

Cheers, Jonas
