do we have enough equity to continue?
UTG: $284.06
CO: $549.00 (Hero)
BN: $206.34
SB: $184.97
BN wins and shows two pair, Aces and Queens|a straight, Ten to Ace.
BN wins $455.36
Rake is $2.75
First of all my assumption of BU flatting range:
TT-22,AJo,QJo,[35]QQ,AKo,KJo,AKs,65s[/35],[85]AQo,AQs-ATs,A5s-A2s,KQs-KTs,QJs-QTs,JTs[/85],[65]JJ,KQo,A9s-A6s,J9s,T9s,98s,87s,76s[/65]
I got in this spot vs a regular that was playing pretty straightforward in the 60hand session that we had played 23/18/11.
I got raised here and wanted to fold, but my assumption was that he could have a large number of draws raising on the flop since he likely would have equity vs the anyone in the hand with an ace high flushdraw or combo straight. That assumption might be wrong given that he is getting direct pot odds in position and he may assume that he doesn't have fold equity vs the recreational player and i don't think that he can assume that i am capped with my call nor the fish being capped or anyone else. I thought his value range would be only QT, and 33, I didn't think realize how much AQ he would be flatting preflop(of course i should realize this with the recreationals)
vs this range on the flop: 33,QTs,KcQc,AcJc,KcJc,QcJc,AcTc,KcTc,Ac9c,Ac8c,Ac7c,Ac6c,Ac5c,Ac4c,Ac3c,Ac2c with QJs, we have 48% equity and would be a clear shove, but my assumptions were incorrect.
Am I being results oriented running into AQ here? Any suggestions? Is flatting the raise an option ever? Vs the flopraise we only need 25% to continue, it is just going to be really strange to play on the turn and river.......
