Countering V that is over 3betting and over calling 4bets?
Hey guys. Been running into this new player in my pool over the last week and I'm trying to think through correct counter exploit. He's 3betting at very high frequency (16% overall, 18% vs late position), but at same time he's not folding often to 4bets (only 38%). You would expect a higher then equilibrium fold to 4bet given more weak holdings in range. Last, he's not 5betting much just calling vs 4bets.
3bet range includes: AA,QQ,99-TT,K8s,K6s,K3s-K4s,AJo+,KQo
4bet call range: 99,K8s,AQo
My thinking would be when V is OP, we'd tighten RFI range then do a lot of calling IP only 4betting strong value. When V is IP, we'd do even greater tightening with our RFI range and 4bet a stronger linear range then typical (say like JJ+, mixing in some suited high broadway). Typically AQo would make up a large part of my 4bet bluff range but not sure we can do this vs this opponent.
Appreciate any thoughts on this. Thanks.
