Choosing Combos for barreling in 3B pot
.50/1
Guy I have tagged as a recreational opens 3x HJ w 144bb. Don't really have much info on him, seems on tighter side and haven't really seen him limp this session after a few hours. So maybe a Tagrec of some sort
Folds to Hero in SB w AQcc who covers and makes to 12bb
HJ calls
HU to flop
7s6s7h
Hero cbets $12.5
HJ calls
Turn 4d
In game I checked he checked
River is a 6o
I check he bets half I fold(basically think this is 88-JJ/QQ often, and AK/AQ likely just check back river most of time.
I wrote this one down, because it seems like this is probably a good candidate for me to be using for a turn barrel and potentially a river barrel, since we unblock hearts in villains range(however, I'm not sure how much that matters against someone who may fold BDFD on this texture facing a half pot size cbet on flop)
on brickish rivers, I think we are jamming JJ-AA for value here for 24 combos, and say we had used a 2/3 turn barrel and a 3/4 river barrel, we would need to find 18 bluffs to have a balanced range. If we aren't using this, then we are severely underbluffing I think(which may be okay, but this seems like one of the better combos, blocking QQ, and unblocking spade draws.)
