Bovada 3/6 QJs in 3 bet pot gets raised on flop
Took a shot at what looked like a good 3/6 on Bovada. Went pretty well, here is a hand from the sessions which I found interesting.
Bovada $3/$6
No reads on V yet expect that he seems like a reasonable player so far.
Hero is effective stack with $1100
V Opens CO to $18. Hero 3 bets to $66 from SB with QsJs. V calls.
Flop ($135) QhJhTs. Hero bets $75. V raises to $216. Hero folds.
I thought betting flop was close and checking may be best. I have a lot of better hands here, all sets and all AK and probably 98s also. I do think I need to be defending my checking range and just having AA, KK doesn't seem quite strong enough. I ended up betting because I didn't think V could raise that often on this flop given I have a pretty big range advantage. However, I think checking is probably best. Once raised I think it's a pretty easy fold as I have so many better hands to continue with and V can have a lot of sets, 98s and probably some AK.
What would be the worse hand you call with here? I think I may continue with JJ+.
What do you think of checking flop? I think it is probably best. How would you play the rest of your range?
