Villain was a 27/20 had 1K hands on him and a note that he liked to raise BB v SB so felt call was justified pre. I like my play to the river but always find this a tricky spot in these situations. Here I think villain mostly has big overpairs and therefore my shove is only going to get folds, feel a 1/3 pot bet would have been better, which he might even have raised over the top of. Think in this situation he might be thinly if I check to him as well.
Any thoughts on when we bet river when we feel we are ahead (OOP) or when it's best to check and try to induce. I always find this a tricky one. Guess it depends on what we think villain's range is and whether he is strong or has medium or low strength. If he is strong we can bet into him, medium strength maybe bet small or check to induce a thin value bet or if he is low strength guess we can only check to him as he will fold to any bet?
