Being Balanced?
Hi all, just recently signed up and have spent my time watching a lot of videos and developing my game I heard the term being balanced before but when I looked into it I got a bit confused.
Being balanced means having a good balance between value hands and bluffs right and its a GTO idea
however Ive run into a problem, to be GTO correct should my frequency between bluffs and valuebet decided by my bet size?
For example if I check raise bluff the river 1.5 pot his indifference calling frequency should be 38% So should I have 62% value / 38% to breakeven.
So to make it quick I should count all my value combos in this spot to know how many bluffing combos I need?
For example I have 60 value combos so I should bluff with 40 combos to be balanced? otherwise I am to weighted toward value.
I know this is only relevant playing players who will exploit my tendencies in this spot and fold exploitative.
Another GTO related question is I do not get why people talk about being "high up in their range" how is this relevant when for example bluff catching? what matters should be my pot odds and his potential bluffing combos compared to value combos? (opposite of above) ex. If he has 30 value combos and 10 bluffs (impossible to say but for this example) and I get 20% pot odds I should snap it off because I beat 25% of his range?
I know this isnt directly apllicable I just want to understand the theory behind it
Thanks in advance :)
