Another math check please!
Open/jamming question from the CO or BUT vs a SSer in the BB with the following characteristics:
SSer 3bets 16% from BB vs. BUT w/ 40bb stack ($240 at 3/6).
Hero opens to $15 from BUT, SSer 3bets to $36 from BB $240 effective.
When hero jams and villain folds, Hero wins $36+15+3=$54.
When hero jams and villain calls, Hero has X% equity in a pot of $483.
If villain is folding f%, then Hero's EV is:
EV=(f)(54)+(1-f)(x*483-225) where $225 is the amount hero is 4bet jamming.
Villain 4b/calls 99+,AJs+,AQo+ (5.4% of total hands).
Since villain is 3betting 16% and calling a jam with 5.4% and folding 10.6%, f%=10.6/16=66%.
EV=(.66)(54)+(.34)(x258)=0
EV=35.64+(.34)(x258)=0
40.6% equity or more needed to 4bet jam profitably.
[AA-TT,AQs+,AK]
Does everything look ok?
And the wider villain get's it in PF OR the lower his stack size becomes, the lower the amount of equity needed to 4bet jam profitably becomes. Correct?
