AK 3bet pot, thin value or x/f, live
Will post only stacks involved.
SM (hero) $1350
UTG $110
Utg1 $2,000 (villain)
Dynamics/info
UTG 1 is a reg I see around often, he got stacked a hand earlier so he bought in for $500 and lost $400 of it right away, guess he decided not to rebuy.
Villain is a woman late 20's - early 30's, not very agro player more on the station side.
UTG limps, villain raises to $15 hero 3bets to $50 with AKdd
All call.
Flop $155
AhKh9d
Hero bets $90 1 fold villain calls
Turn
10c
Hero bets $180 villain flats
River 8s
Hero??
I could see an argument for x/f turn but I still think that there is value in betting ( thin ) because her range includes worse flush draws.
Kind of hard to construct ranges on someone that I have no real info on but I will post what I thought it was.
QJr QJh 56h 76h 78h J10hh
these are the only ranges I could come up with in this hand, I doubt she continues with PP to the river because my range includes mid-top set so I think I fold out all her set mining thoughts with a turn bet.
If she had QJr or QJh she should be raising turn all the time against my range but then again station players would see a "safe" river and then raise.
So with my turn bet even though it looks very thin there are still worse hands that call like 76h 78h J10h
River is tough cause it does complete a straight and it would be hard to get value from 1 pair hands but since my line looks very strong and I could only see 2 hands that beat me on the river as played.Would love to hear all thoughts.Thx!
