6max strategy: raise first-in.
Hi guys !
This is my first post on Runitonce !
I'm pretty excited about that website I hope I can find here fellow poker players to discuss strategy with :)
I'm currently in a non-ending downswing and so am I trying to work on my game efficiently, to maybe start winning again :) (if God changes his mind about rubbing his downswitch on my clit...)
Atm I'm focusing on my preflop strategy. I've been looking all over the internet for interesting materials, I found many stuff but at the end I still have no certainty. Here's my problem today, I hope you will be interested to argue about it with me :)- rake 100NL = 9bb/100 but "no flop no drop"
I'm paying a tremendous rake to be dealt some cards on partygaming.fr (and rakeback is just 20% being palladium). To adapt, I think I have to open-raise tighter, with bigger bet size preflop (in order to maximize my preflop FE and therefore to pay less rake)
- gameflow : most of 100NL regs in blinds fold too much against steals
most of 100NL regs fold too much against cbet (especially OOP)
most of 100NL regs don't play IP enough
To adapt, I think I have to open-raise looser, with smaller bet size preflop.
It's a bit paradoxal as you can see. Atm i'm trying to open 2bb any position, with ranges close to 25% from UTG MP and CO, and almost any2 from BU and SB (and CO if BU is too nitty). What do you reckon, what would you do ?
Next thread i'm gonna talk about my "vs Pfr" strategy cause i really am interested in your thoughts guys. Sorry for my english writing mistakes. I will be glad to be corrected as well... i'm eager to learn.
