[50NLz] Calling down OOP with second pair in 3 bet pot

PokerStars - $0.50 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players

BTN: 155.38 BB (VPIP: 17.24, PFR: 13.79, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 30)
SB: 108.5 BB (VPIP: 19.54, PFR: 16.09, 3Bet Preflop: 6.33, Hands: 177)
BB: 110.8 BB (VPIP: 34.78, PFR: 34.78, 3Bet Preflop: 18.18, Hands: 23)
Hero (UTG): 101.78 BB
MP: 155.46 BB (VPIP: 42.11, PFR: 15.79, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 19)

CO: 196.42 BB (VPIP: 50.00, PFR: 50.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 10)

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has Ad Jc
Hero raises to 2.16 BB, MP raises to 7.98 BB, fold, fold, fold, fold, Hero calls 5.82 BB

Villain has a wide open range (passive though and only 19 hands) so I decided to call. I afterwards think this is a clear mistake

Flop : (17.46 BB, 2 players) 3s 2s Jh
Hero checks, MP bets 5.8 BB, Hero calls 5.8 BB

Villain bets small on a flush draw board which is kinda weird in my opinion. Anyway cant fold top pair here.

Turn : (29.06 BB, 2 players) Qc
Hero checks, MP bets 21.5 BB, Hero calls 21.5 BB

Villain makes what I see as another weird bet now polarizing his range so I guess something like QQ and maybe AA could make this play for value and as there are sufficient AK hands that can bluff here I make the call

River : (72.06 BB, 2 players) 6d
Hero checks, MP bets 120.18 BB and is all-in, Hero calls 66.5 BB and is all-in

I don't like the position I am in now (calling a 3 bet with AJo seems silly now when UTG against MP). Here again villain makes a large bet effectively almost pot sized. Think I told others a dozens time the river is under bluffed a lot on these levels but this time I could not resist as the only value hand villain should play this way is in my opinion exactly QQ that is only 6 combos so I called.

Suppose you call preflop what would you do different ?
