50NL - constructing a balanced turn check raise range in 3 bet pots
BB: Mushmellow: $110.39
SB: stoneman77: $53.01
SB: stoneman77: $53.01
Villain is opening 58% on the button and calling 36% of my 3bets so far and folding the rest. This match I have been playing a 63% Fold, 19% Call, & 19% 3bet OOP so I have been 3betting pretty heavily. So far I've cbet every flop in 3 bet pots and villain has been calling about half the time (though this isn't a good enough sample I except this villain to be floating me on some flops and trying to take it away on the turn because he was a thinking player).
Preflop
($0.75)
(2 Players)
Mushmellow was dealt
A
K
stoneman77 raises to $1.25, Mushmellow raises to $5, stoneman77 calls $4
stoneman77 raises to $1.25, Mushmellow raises to $5, stoneman77 calls $4
I make it $5.50 which is my standard 3 bet size vs a 3x open.
Flop
($11.00)
5
7
2
(2 Players)
Mushmellow bets $5.25,
stoneman77 calls $5.25
I cbet this flop. Should I make this bet size bigger or is half pot okay?
Turn
($21.50)

7
(2 Players)
Mushmellow checks,
stoneman77 bets $14,
Mushmellow raises to $99.64, and is all in
When the 7 doesn't change much I feel like this isn't a good card to be barreling with my air. To balance out the times I have air, I want to have a turn check raise range in these spots, this makes it tougher for villain to steal against me in these types of boards. I also feel that villian is not going to be able to help himself from betting here and trying to take it away. The reason I want to raise here is because we have a primo hand to semi-bluff with. By raising we
1. Get villain to bet fold his random broadways and 1 diamond hands that missed the flop
2. Even if villian has an overpair in this spot we still have a huge amount of equity with our 2 overs and K high diamond draw
3. Villain could potentially bet call it off with worse 1 diamonds
So I guess my question is how is this an okay spot to have a turn check raise range? If we are going to have a turn check raise range in this spot we need to be check raising some % of our overpairs here to balance out or semi-bluffs. Is this okay to stick some overpairs here in our turn CR range or is it better to take the bet, bet, shove line with our overpairs instead.
What do you guys think?
Thanks!
