Villain has been doing this small 3 bet. Normally I have been folding hands like A8 to normal sized 3bets. But when villain has been doing this 3 bet a lot to me and it's so small I opt to call. Is 4 bet bluffing him with the A blocker a better option? The reason I chose not to 4b is because he would cold call my 4 bets a lot and I wanted to be in a 4 bet pot with a better hand than A8. Not sure if this is the right logic though...

DownByTheRiver bets $2,

He bets half pot and I call with top pair. He could have anything in his wide 3bet range right now as he has a 100% cbet in 3 bet pots.

He barrels rather small. I'm not really sure what this means. Maybe he is setting up for a river bluff? Or does he have a very strong hand and is trying to sucker me in?
I think it only really makes sense for me to call here.

Turn aggression = 1

DownByTheRiver raises to $8.38, and is all in,
Mushmellow folds
Villain puts the rest in and I opt to fold. His overall aggression factor is 1 and I feel like I am beat by any bigger A and the only thing I beat is bluffs and worse A then mine. The more I think about it looks like I should have called but couldn't he have some sort of 6 here since he bet so small on the turn? He could also have a missed flush draw right?

Final Pot
Seems like folding to villain here is too weak tight and I should have made the call down with my ace. Thoughts?
Edit: The more I look at his stats he seems to more aggressive than passive, I'm not sure why I had the read that he was passive. I guess I need to call down more to see how often villains are bluffing me?
