CO bets $38
Hand 1: I 3b SB vs BTN, he calls. Flop comes K58 with a flush draw. I cbet, he raises, I re-raise, he calls. Turn is a blank and I ship it in (2/3 size pot). He tanks a bit and folds.
Hand 2: Pre-flop is the same as Hand 1. Flop is 986 rainbow. I cbet, he raises, I re-raise (same sizing as in Hand 1), he ships. I win with KK vs 76.
Hand 3: He opens CO to $4.5, I 3b to $15 with KQs, he 4bets $40, I call. Flop is QQT w/flush draw, he bets, I call. Turn brings a king, and it checks through. River is a 2 completing the flush. He bets half-pot, I tank ship, he folds.
All in all, he lost the last 3 bigger pots, and only saw showdown in one of them. This has led him to amping up his aggression by opening more and 4betting when I 3b. I have weighted my 3b range more towards the value side because of it.
I think the hand in question played out standard, until he overbet the river. What's your play with the dynamics as described, and how does it change when this type of hand happens "in a vacuum"?
