Ugly board.
Betting and checking will both get me in really tricky spots.
Betting the flop will lead to many turns where I just have to check/fold because a 9,J,6,spade,Q,K comes.
So I think I would rather want to wait for a safe turncard and then start betting. I can also induce bluffs on the flop.
However now he starts betting Turn too. I'm having a really hard time to work out how he constructs his range...
of course I assume he is going to bet with the lone Ace of spades but actually he can't have many.... like AQ maybe and AK I assume people 3bet.... and AJo is a pretty loose call and the standard opponent at my limit isn't playing like that....
is he betting 99 with spades?
He certainly is betting JJ with spades and without spades, some slowplayed QQ maybe (weighted), sets, flushes maybe 78s (or would that coldcall be too loose)?
so if we give him that range we have a fold on the turn am I rite? I guess people aren't pure bluffing enough on that turn because they expect me to call turn too if I called flop and then blank appears...
