Weird 5 bet situation with AKo. 3k NLHE Shootout
Blinds were 150/300 with 25 ante
I'm sitting at about 13000 chips.
UTG+1 (about 15k) a passive guy raises to 700
John Racener (about 25k) on the button reraises to 1800 which has been standard for him on the button. He was 3 betting about 70-80% of his buttons when there was action behind.
I'm in the BB with AKo and make it 3300.
UTG+1 insta mucks
John Racener makes it 5600.
I fold after a bit of thinking.
The way I look at it he's not turning up worse than AK here though I do have blockers to AA, KK, and AK.
Is it likely he's 5 betting light here?
Is it better for me just call the 3 bet? I think this invites the UTG+1 player, but other than being passive I have no real read on this guy because he's never gotten to showdown.
Should I have made my 4 bet larger?
Is there any value in calling his 5 bet which commits half my chips preflop?
Can I really justify a shove here?
EDIT: We were 7 handed at this point.
Also, I want to add I was in a similar position later in the match where I 4 bet again but from the SB with AKdd. Racener tanked eye'd up my stack for a count and folded. Though I obviously did not have that information during the hand in question. I had a slightly higher chip stack at this point but our stack ratios were roughly the same.
