$400 buy in, 500+ players. 20k starting stack, 40 min levels.

I was grinding short all day after making a terrible call early and running dead mostly. I was mostly just jamming on pots recently either on limpers or an opener, or open jamming with 15-20bbs for a few levels now to stay alive while card dead. So the two older fellows to my right were getting fed up and were bustin my chops pleasantly. I jammed on them a few times when they limped and I was in the blinds, and on the villain twice when he opened.

My stack 18.5k at level 600-1200/100 ante so less than 16bbs. Im in the hijack and the pot is opened by the villain noted earlier. He had a good stack 60k at least, was playing kinda quiet/tight but was running well when involved. Seemed experienced. I felt he was opening up more lately with the levels rising and a good stack, seemed to be slowly increasing his opening frequency.

Villain opens to 3400 ish in mid position. I peel KQ off and decided to jam on him. 

My thoughts: He's opening wide enough that I can get him to fold OR if he decides to gamble with a low-mid pair I don't much mind a big race since I'm low as hell and need to gamble at this point. Hands he could be opening that I think he's folding (based on my reads): KQ, QJ suited, 55-88, maybe A10-AJ, maybe folding AQ. Throw in a few weaker hands like A9 suited, KJ suited, 22.

He's probably calling with 99+ which isnt terrible for me. Im really only in rough shape against AA-QQ, AK, AQ. 

As far as the players behind me I'm not worried about anyone trying to iso me with anything but premiums JJ+,AK etc.  given the stack sizes. So if they wake up so be it.

He ended up calling kinda slowly with AK to my surprise after his deliberation (I'm obv snapping with AK if I'm him) and I went busto. Thoughts on this one? Should I just let it go and wait for a better spot? I'm on the fence about it but dont hate my play.
