Let me introduce myself: victorbynite
Hello, everyone,
Let me introduce myself (if this topic is in a wrong thread, feel free to move it to the appropriate one).
My name is Victor, I am 37, I am French (nobody is perfect ;-) ) and I live in France (yet another ringfenced online poker market with some recent restricted shared liquidity). I discovered poker 3 years ago and, after having tested almost any format, I recently decided to focus on cash game, especially online. I love poker variants: not only no-limit Hold’em, but also Omaha, Omaha hi-lo, Seven-Card Stud, Razz, Stud hi-lo, Deuce-to-Seven Triple Draw and OFC. If I had to cite only one poker player, I would cite Stu Ungar, because he was the only one to be born as a card player champion, nobody having beaten him playing cards but himself with his deamons, unfortunately (I read One of a Kind, well, its translation into French); but to cite other players I admire, I would cite Alexandre Luneau (for his cash game player profile and his mastery of many variants), Gaëlle Baumann (even though she is known for her 10th place at the 2012 WSOP Main Event, she is originally a cash game player) and Sylvain Loosli (even though he is known for his 4th place at the 2013 WSOP Main Event, he is originally a cash game player, too, and likes variants).
My goals in poker are to improve my technical skills (and that is the reason why I have chosen to focus on cash game) and keep on improving my mental (I have read The Mental Game of Poker, well, its translation into French). For now, I focus on NL cash game; but, when I have a more important bankroll, at the same time as I will go further in NL cash game, I will play cash game at the other variants, at least those which are allowed on .fr poker sites (Omaha, Omaha hi-lo, Five-Card Omaha hi, Seven-Card Stud, Razz, Stud hi-lo and Deuce-to-Seven Triple Draw). In other words, I want to be a reg in cash game who is as complete as possible.
I have signed up here to take part of discussions on cash game history hands, hoping to have rich discussions, to have a look at some trends on .com online poker (I rightly or wrongly think that most French amateur poker players are overwhelmed) and to improve my English.
If you want to know more about me, my Sharkscope curves, my past results or my poker profile, do not hesitate.
