Aspiring Poker Pro
Hello RunItOnce. Just thought i'd make a post here to introduce myself. I'm a 24 yo lad from Denmark, aspiring to make a humble living off proffessional poker. I have a background in both competitive gaming and the psychological text-based game of Mafia, so this seemed like a perfect fit.
I've been playing Poker casually for several years, but have only recently made the decision to try and go from recreational to seriously profitable. For a week now, i've been studying poker for close to 12 hours per day, and i'm having a blast with it. Along with playing micro-stakes tournaments and zoom cash-games, i've been studying Phil Galfonds essential videos here, together with watching Jcarverpoker play tournaments and reading from several sources. When i work-out, i'm listening to poker audiobooks. I'm obsessed.
My goal is to build up my bankroll from 50 dollars to a 100 dollars with micro-stakes, and then slowly work my way up, mainly with cash-games (NLHE). They seem to be less variance, but i could be wrong. I'm still at total newbie-level, but i am working very hard, and my mindset is pretty much perfect.
If anyone wants to discuss entry level micro-stakes poker strategy with me (mainly cash games), feel free to shoot me a private message. And before you judge me for trying to make a living off poker - i do have contingency plans if this doesn't hold up ;)
Cheers!
edit: I apologize if this was posted in the wrong topic.
