min11 TT hand: what range are you getting in after flatting and this action happening behind you? And also which hands would you rather call than squeeze in your seat, especially with the shortstack in the bigblind? Are there any hands you are getting in if BB shoves and MP flats the shove?
Wow. I don't know. This all seems a little above me and the people I play against. A little TOO intriguing for day in, day out play. Entertaining, I suppose, but nothing I can translate to my game, other than 'you get lucky sometimes.' I like live videos and replays that show every hand better.
Runittwice, good question, im not sure if there is a range that I would flat and then jam over a flat from ivasky as I would expect him to jam or reraise with a sort of qk/kj/at/small pairs range. For value I'd probably squeeze JJ or QQ + and maybe AQs against an unknown, but if I thought I could induce some 4b bluffs from either the opener or but then happily widen this to include maybe 88/qks etc (but more against the openers stack). So with the hands slightly worse than those I'd induce against an unknown it would be close with a couple like TT/AQo but think I'd fold nearly all of my range. (Although this is only the case because of the but flat)
Sorry if this wasn't to your taste Sean, don't expect these type of vids to be too frequent.
I find it interesting that in the 1010 hand you think his range is different whether he shoves or clicks it back. I get the thought that his nutted hands flat, but I think in his mind he was shoving by raising because obviously he has to call when you shove. I wouldn't expect him, to expect you, to think his range was stronger clicking it back as opposed to shoving because of you having 0 flatting hands to his click it back and him having 0 folding hands to your shove. IMO its different then when someone 2.5X 3bets on a 12 BB stack trying to look like a massive hand with AJ or something. What makes you think his click it back range differs from his shoving range and do you think it is possible that he just does this to effectively shove with w/e he does not want to flat with (like AA-QQ)?
I really liked this video. I somewhat agree with Sean Fri as some of the players I play against wouldn't fold value hands in these spots as they're just looking at their own hands... so are we looking to make these plays against more experienced players that we know have a brain and can lay down stronger hands?
Joseph, I think what I felt with the click back was it was his way of trying to look most strong and therefore meant the opposite. I guess the point I was trying to go for was it takes out most of the range that's crushing us (maybe JJ plays the same) and therefore we can happily get it in.
Jamo/Sean, I think one of the most interesting/important things about the game atm is getting into the right level/mindset for the right villain, so although some of these hands may not be too relevant in a vacuum to your regs, but maybe the thought process and really thinking about players tendencies can be of help.
