Hi,

Great first video. I really enjoy the live play videos so please make more of them. Hand history videos would be good too, maybe looking at some tricky spots in CardrunnersEV.

I'm thinking of moving to NL zoom from SnGs in the new year because of the rake changes, but I'm unsure of what an attainable win rate is at 50NL though.

What BB/100 do you think a decent reg makes at 50NL zoom? How about the big winners?

Thanks!

Cameron Couch 10 years, 3 months ago

Hi,

I'm glad you enjoyed it! 'Decent' is too subjective a term, but 3-5bb should be attainable with some work as the biggest winners tend to be 5bb+. That said, once you are winning at ~3bb you should be looking to move up, IMO. Good luck!

Hi, Really nice first video, and great addition to the team.

I think the format of 3 tabling zoom is pretty perfect, and i love that your videos are going to be focusing on what sounds like 25-100.

Leak finder videos like those that Peter Jennings, Felipe, Steve Paul and others have made are always great too, imo.

Thanks

Loved the video. I enjoy these live play videos a lot, and would like to see more. Some HH analysis and session reviews where you can pause the vid and talk would be cool. If you need footage of 25NL to review, hit me up.

Hey great video! Looking forward to the next videos.

What kind of table theme are you using? I really like the neutral and calm style!

Cameron Couch 10 years, 3 months ago

Ty! Table theme is 'black' with a grey background. I change the felt colour quite a bit but keep the theme and cards the same for the most part.

Around 14:30 with AK utg, on the turn when the 6 pairs, should we not continue betting with AK to put pressure on his AQ/AJ hands? AQ seems like a big part of his range here and we will be barreling the turn with a handful of backdoor flushdraws, some straight draws and maybe a few other combos that have good blockers (KsQx?)

I'm not too against checking the AK it just seems pretty non standard to me at least, and we still have a lot of AJ/AQ hands ourselves that can check call turns.

I think your river fold is probably correct too vs the way the average regular plays at these stakes but, i am going to level myself and feel awkward vs big bets because im sure some regulars will expect us to never really have AK here and possibly bet big themselves with AQ.

I might be way off but appreciate your thoughts and everyone elses on this spot, Thx.

I think b/f turn serves better as a default. Don't forget, we need him to call/call AJs/AQo in order to vb 3 streets here. If his pre range is something like 55-QQ, JTs-KQs, AJs+, AQo+, river becomes rather thin unless we use a smaller sizing. I think I should be felting this OTR, but I suspect his pot-sizing is grossly imbalanced towards value and I struggled to think of enough bluffs.

~20.50 table 1 AQo fold a misclick?!
~27.50, AQo flat v UTG, standard flat here instead of 3b? What about KQs and AJo?

Cameron Couch 10 years, 3 months ago

I would usually flat in both spots as AQo has a small equity advantage vs a typical UTG opening range. I'm not overly thrilled about flatting it from SB vs a regs UTG open (with a reg in BB left to act), but it should be better than folding. I would typically fold AJo and call KQs in MP vs UTG, despite AJo doing slightly better equity-wise. I think the suited-ness of KQs (and thus multi-way value/playability) outweighs the raw equity advantage that AJo enjoys. I would consider 3b AJo vs UTG if they open wide/fold too much pre or post etc.

Hey Cameron, nice vid. I think u almost should be looking to use 2zoom tables instead of 3. U have so much interesting to say. It feels like we miss alot when u speed through with 3. Like Tyler Forrsester 2table zoom vids for example.

Anyway keep it up.

lofigr 10 years, 3 months ago

You folded 3 times suited connectors after got reraised...
Was this plan when you opened hand or ....?
Thanx

Cameron Couch 10 years, 3 months ago

Defending ranges will vary quite a bit depending on position, stack sizes, my opening range, villains 3b range (and sizing), villains post-flop tendencies etc. I will be more inclined to flat if we are deeper / I have position / villain is weak (low WWSF, low WTSD, fit/fold)

Excellent first video Cameron! Format and content were all great for me. How many hands played would you estimate are enough to give a decent indicator of ones win rate?

Cameron Couch 10 years, 3 months ago

Ty, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I am just speculating here but based on my experience 200k+ is required for an accurate WR. You could run some variance sims to get a better idea.

I really enjoyed the video. You seem like a decent and right guy who shares everything he knows. And I also like that we think the same way in a lot of spots so hopefully that's a sign that I`m improving. GL!

Hi cameron Nice video! min 37 I see that you don't flat 66 on MP vs UTG I guess because of the regs behind, if there was a weak er player behind would you call in this spot with 22/66?

Mike Kitson 10 years, 1 month ago

Hi Cameron, great video's - please keep them coming!

At 28:55, you say that if a players range is balance and he protects his checking range etc, then you are more inclined to bet polarized. Could you explain why / link to some further reading that would help me understand? I get what the terms mean, just not why polarized is better vs balanced villain range. Thanks in advance!!
