If villain isn't 5b shoving 10s/ JJ / QQ / AK then why would you say that flatting a 3bet is bad there? (near end of the video) That way you are playing super well against their 3b range and can make a ton of value vs those hands. Also, if villain is bluffing you are getting a ton of value off those hands too. I don't think I ever flat there because I am scared of aces, I just think it plays super well against a 3b range and you're in position.

Can you explain your HUD stats? I haven't been able to see your betting sometimes because the action went too fast like your 3bet with KTo right at the end of the video. I am a chess Grandmaster BTW....good analogy there. I normally use VPIP-PFR-3bet-F3bet-WTSD-W$SD and want to make sure I use the proper stats. Great videos :)

Thanks Renier, I'm glad you liked the analogy, and my videos :)

The stats I have are:

Name/Hands
VPIP/PFR/Squeeze/3bet/vs. Hero 3bet/Resteal/vs. Hero Resteal
Steal/Fold to Steal
NoteCaddy

As far as what stats to use... I pick the "basic" stats (VPIP/PFR/3bet), and then add in others that I find useful. I find most people want to overuse stats, and that it's more important to try and get a feel for how your opponent thinks. For example, comparing someone's 3bet to their squeeze can give me an idea about how much they like to go after marginal spots. A lot of players have a lower squeeze than 3bet at full ring, so I find this is informative.

svansa, what are u talking about??? this is a great video, I sure learned a lot. Mike, I like your style of teaching and highlighting active tables is great. Your line of min-betting the river (18:28) was a really interesting (and valuable) approach. At 23:04 I like your reasoning of how to play AA against a very loose player and get value. I particularly found it educational for your detailed analysis at 37:16 of getting 3-bet from sb and your decision to fold vs 4-bet and why (seems to be player dependent) and what hands you'd have to have to just call the 3-bet. Thanks again Mike, look forward to your next one! :)
