Block player names in hand converter?

Recently (in NL forum) we faced a bunch of posts, partially with deep reads or slightly insulting comments where the screennames of the opponents were revealed. I doubt it´s done by purpose or anything, but I think it´s bad etiquette - and most of all - it´s unncessary to judge a hand history.

Maybe it would be best to just eliminate the option of showing screennames and convert every hand so that the screennames are masked? Should be no big deal as the option is available anyways ...?

yeah, I cant think of a single valid reason why hand names need to be shown. The majority of the time its meaningless that they are shown, but anytime there is negative comments especially towards a fish, its bad for the game in general, cuz it all shows up when they google their name. When it comes with reads, its kinda stupid by the poster because often the villain can work out who hero is and now knows what he thinks of him. I dont really care if you save people from themselves, but think you should protect the fish. Also just the negativity of insulting comments even if its not directed at fish I think just is a bad atmosphere for people to see when they are brought here by google from the standpoint of RIO company interests. Altho maybe thats offset by potential weak players learning about your site and becoming paying members. I dunno.

I agree - the only time I'd consider mentioning the name of a player would be in a positive context like if I was playing a tournament hand vs. someone Blair Hinkle or Jason Koon. I wouldn't just say "a good winning reg" in that case because those two obviously extend beyond that.

But if it's a question on what line to take vs. a fish or whale I'd never put their SN out there for public consumption for many reasons.

And also +1 to exclusion of overly negative comments. You can say something like "a weak player who takes passive lines" instead of being mean for the sake of a cheap laugh.
